Common eBusiness Terms & Their Search Popularity

google search history cache 300x273 Common eBusiness Terms & Their Search PopularityAs an e-Commerce website developer, I have always struggled to find the terms my clients use when referring to business over the Internet.

I’d like to know this so I can use language they are familiar with, rather than language a professional in the industry might use.

This is by no means an exhaustive study, it’s simply something I thought would help me when writing content. It’s published here in case it might be useful to others.

Below are general terms used to refer to the Internet, and more broadly to digital technology (with a few extra terms I thought I would experiment with).

About the author

Harris
I have been in the Internet industry since 1994, when I was one of the directors and owners of Cyberloom Pty Ltd - an early ISP based in Sydney, NSW. Cyberloom was sold in 2001. That's when I started X Pty Ltd as a website development company. xEcommerce.com.au is now my primary focus. xEcommerce.com.au builds small business sites on two platforms - Magento & Wordpress. One day I would like to operate the business from the Greek Island of Meganisi - and why not? The Internet is everywhere! ;)
